| 1. | To encourage literary creation, the "2022 Taoyuan Chung Chao-cheng Literary Award" is now open for submissions. This year (111th year of the Republic of China calendar), the awards and prize money are as follows: |
| (1) | Full-length Novel: "Taoyuan Award" - Grand Prize: 1 winner, NT$500,000; Jury Recommendation Award: 3 winners, NT$100,000 each. |
| (2) | Short Story: Grand Prize: 1 winner, NT$250,000; Runner-up: 2 winners, NT$150,000 each; Potential Award: 2 winners, NT$20,000 each. |
| (3) | Reportage: Grand Prize: 1 winner, NT$250,000; Runner-up: 2 winners, NT$150,000 each; Potential Award: 2 winners, NT$20,000 each. |
| (4) | Essay: Grand Prize: 1 winner, NT$180,000; Runner-up: 2 winners, NT$100,000 each; Potential Award: 2 winners, NT$20,000 each. |
| (5) | New Poetry: Grand Prize: 1 winner, NT$120,000; Runner-up: 2 winners, NT$70,000 each; Potential Award: 2 winners, NT$20,000 each. |
| (6) | Fairy Tale: Grand Prize: 1 winner, NT$120,000; Runner-up: 2 winners, NT$70,000 each; Potential Award: 2 winners, NT$20,000 each. |
| 2. | Eligibility is open to all nationalities and themes. However, full-length novels must be related to local Taoyuan themes. The submission deadline for the full-length novel category is July 8th. For other categories, the deadline is August 8th. Submissions are accepted in both print and online formats. |
