2022 Indigenous Peoples Cultural Excellent Teaching Material Selection Implementation Plan

Subject: Forwarding the "2022 Indigenous Peoples' Cultural Excellence Teaching Plan Selection Implementation Plan" from the Ministry of Education, please encourage relevant personnel to actively register and participate. Details are as follows. Please be informed.
Explanation:  
1. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter No. Tai Jiao Guo Zi No. 1110037543 dated April 12, 2022.
2. To implement Articles 27 and 29 of the Indigenous Peoples Education Act, promote understanding of Indigenous languages, history, science, and culture among teachers in senior high schools and below, and put into practice the curriculum guidelines for the 12-year basic education. Encourage teachers in senior high schools and below to engage in research on competency-oriented, issue-integrated, and Indigenous language-related supplementary teaching materials. The Ministry of Education has specifically commissioned National Taichung University of Education to organize the "2022 Indigenous Peoples' Cultural Excellence Teaching Plan Selection Implementation Plan."
3. The relevant information for the "2022 Indigenous Peoples' Cultural Excellence Teaching Plan Selection Implementation Plan" is as follows:
(1) Participants:
1. Current teachers, substitute teachers, full-time Indigenous language teachers, and Indigenous language teaching support staff in senior high schools and below.
2. Students in education-related departments of universities and colleges, students undergoing teacher training programs at teacher education universities, and student interns.
3. Relevant education personnel or groups (including tribal artisans, cultural workers, cultural instructors, tribal elders, etc.).
(2) Categories: Divided into Experimental Education Group and Non-Experimental Education Group. Each group is further divided by educational level into elementary school, junior high school, and senior high school, with teaching plans designed for students in each category.
(3) Selection Themes: Including the preservation and inheritance of Indigenous languages and literature, historical experiences of tribes and Indigenous peoples, Indigenous naming systems, traditional organizational structures or their modern transformations, Indigenous arts and music/dance, Indigenous land and ecological wisdom, Indigenous livelihood models, tribal ethics and beliefs, and other issues related to Indigenous peoples, totaling 8 items.
(4) Schedule:
1. Registration and Submission: From now until May 31, 2022 (Tuesday) at 23:59.
2. Announcement of Selection Results: To be announced by September 30, 2022 (Friday).
3. Award Ceremony: Scheduled for December 7, 2022 (Wednesday).
