111 Environmental Knowledge Competition

Subject: To inform you that the Environmental Protection Administration and the Ministry of Education are jointly organizing the "111 Environmental Knowledge Competition." Please encourage teachers and students in your affiliated schools to actively register and participate. Please be informed.
Explanation:  
1. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter No. T'ai-Chiao-Tzu (6) No. 1110040776A dated April 28, 111.
2. To enhance the environmental literacy of the general public and to attract the public, school teachers, and students to learn environmental knowledge in a fun and engaging way, the Administration and the Ministry of Education are jointly organizing the aforementioned competition. The competition plan and schedule are summarized as follows:
(1) Competition registration groups: Divided into 4 groups: elementary school group, junior high school group, senior high school (vocational) group, and general group.
(2) Competition format: Conducted in two stages: preliminary and final. The preliminary round will be organized by each local government before October 9, 111. The top 5 participants from each group will advance to the final round (a total of 20 participants from each county/city, totaling 440 participants). The final round is scheduled to be held at National Taiwan University on November 19, 111.
(3) Awards: Participants who advance to the final round will receive certificates and cash prizes.
3. For detailed competition content, please refer to the attachment. Information on preliminary rounds in each local government can be found on the event website (http://www.epaee.com.tw/). The Administration is expected to launch the website on June 15, 111. 4. In addition, regarding the official leave for teachers and staff who lead or attend the competition, and the commendation for award winners, please have your affiliated schools handle it according to their authority.
