| 1. | Huatai Culture is the sole agent in Taiwan for English teaching materials from Cambridge University Press. Huatai has invited Professor Chou Chung-tien from National Taiwan Normal University to translate the research findings published by Cambridge University Press in collaboration with the Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge – the Cambridge Life Competencies Framework. This research outlines six essential life competencies for the 21st century and the competency indicators required at each stage of the learning journey. It offers both breadth and depth, making it a suitable reference guide for curriculum development, lesson plan design, teacher professional development, and outcome assessment in Taiwan's competency-based education. |
| 2. | The "Cambridge Life Competencies Series Lectures" will be held online. This lecture series will introduce the competency indicators of the Cambridge Life Competencies Framework for different age groups and provide examples of English teaching activities. The aim is to help educators in Taiwan understand how to apply the effectiveness of the Cambridge Life Competencies Framework in language learning contexts, enabling language learning and life competency development to progress hand in hand. The lecture outline and speaker introductions are detailed in Attachment 1. |
