I. Project Basis

1. The Executive Yuan approved the Ministry of Education's "Program for Advancing Digital Learning in Primary and Secondary Schools" (Yuan Tai Jiao Zi No. 1100036597) on December 16, 110.

2. The "Twelve-Year Basic Education" core competencies of "Self-Directed Action" and "Communication and Interaction".

3. "Key Points for Promoting Information Education by the Ministry of Education", Article 2, Paragraph (2) "Enhancing the Quality of Teaching or Research Related to Information Education" and Paragraph (4) "Integrating and Promoting the Application of Digital Teaching Resources".

4. Fund execution shall be carried out in accordance with the Ministry of Education's "Key Points for the Allocation, Disbursement, and Reporting of Subsidized (Donated) and Commissioned Funds by the Ministry of Education".

II. Project Goals

1. Encourage students to bring their own devices to school for learning and to take devices home for learning, extending digital learning time.

2. Cultivate students' abilities in self-directed learning, collaborative learning, problem-solving, and creativity, and establish healthy, reasonable, and legal attitudes and habits towards the use of information technology.

3. Encourage teachers to utilize digital learning platforms and make good use of online learning resources to guide students in using information technology, thereby enhancing the quality of teaching and student learning.

III. Project Terminology

1. "Students Bring Their Own Devices to School for Learning" (Bring Your Own Device; hereinafter referred to as BYOD) Students use their own devices to learn at school. At least 50% of students in participating classes must bring their own learning devices to school; the remaining students will be provided with public learning devices by this project.

2. "Students Take Home School Devices for Learning" (Take-Home Student Device; hereinafter referred to as THSD) Students take school-provided devices home for learning. 100% of students in participating classes will be provided with public learning devices by this project.

IV. Project Schedule Project Period: From August 1, 111 to December 31, 114, for a period of 3.5 years. Project Application: Deadline June 10, 111.

V. Implementation Targets

1. All public and private junior high schools, elementary schools, and senior high schools (grades 1-12).

2. Priority for THSD in rural schools, with a principle of over 1/3.

3.
