| Explanation: |
| I. | In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter Tai Jiao Zi (6) No. 1112702398 dated June 14, 111. |
| II. | In response to the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (COVID-19) pandemic, the Environmental Protection Administration has dynamically adjusted the principles for counting digital course hours for the extension of environmental education professional certification. According to Articles 15, Paragraph 1, and Article 15, Paragraph 2, Subparagraph 1 of the Regulations Governing the Certification and Management of Environmental Education Professionals, applications for extension submitted before December 31, 111 (postmark as proof) will have digital course hours counted without a 15-hour limit. |
| III. | As stipulated in Article 15, Paragraph 1 of the Regulations Governing the Certification and Management of Environmental Education Professionals, "Except for those who have obtained environmental education professional certification through recommendation, the validity period of environmental education professional certification is 5 years. Applications for extension may be submitted within 3 to 6 months before the expiration of the period; each extension is valid for 5 years." This is stated for your information. |
| IV. | Those who meet the above-mentioned conditions for applying for the extension of environmental education professional certification are requested to submit their applications within the time limit. If the certificate extension application is submitted beyond the time limit, the digital course study hours counted will be limited to no more than 15 hours. |
