| Explanation: |
| 1. | In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter No. 1112702273, dated June 16, 111 (2022). |
| 2. | To implement the National Environmental Education Framework and align with the integration of environmental education into the 12-year basic education curriculum guidelines, and to promote the practice of school environmental education actions, fostering students' ability to identify and solve environmental problems, this competition is hereby organized. |
| 3. | Key points of the competition are as follows: |
| (1) | Participants: Elementary school group (grades 4-6 students), Junior high school group (grades 7-9 students). |
| (2) | Competition format: The competition will focus on the five major themes under environmental education: "Environmental Ethics, Sustainable Development, Climate Change, Disaster Prevention and Response, and Sustainable Use of Energy and Resources." Participants will showcase their ability to solve environmental problems and their potential for future promotion through practical environmental actions or the creation of projects. |
| (3) | Judging criteria: The Ministry of Education will form a review committee to evaluate the entries. The process will consist of two stages: preliminary review and final review. Approximately 20 teams from each group (elementary and junior high) will be selected for the final review. The top 3 teams in each group (1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place), along with the Best Team Performance Award (2 teams per group), will receive certificates of merit and cash prizes. Several honorable mentions and merits will also receive certificates. |
| (4) | To recognize teachers who have long supported students' participation in this competition, a "Teacher Cultivation Award" has been added this year. Teachers who have guided students to participate in the School Environmental Education Practical Competition for a cumulative total of four sessions and have reached the final review for at least two sessions will receive a certificate of merit to encourage and acknowledge their dedication. |
| (5) | Schedule: The deadline for preliminary review submissions is from October 17 to November 11, 111 (2022), with evaluation based on written submissions. The final review is scheduled for March 112 (2023) and will involve on-site presentations. |
