| Subject: | Regarding the city's discontinuation of the transparent trash bag policy promotion, please inform your subordinates accordingly. Details are as follows. For your reference. |
| Details: |
| 1. | This is in accordance with the Mayor's directive at the Municipal Meeting on June 22, 111. |
| 2. | Our bureau promoted the transparent trash bag policy to complement the city's kitchen waste recycling policy, aiming to reduce waste at the source, strengthen public awareness of waste sorting, and improve the identification speed of sanitation workers. Our bureau began promoting the policy of full recycling of raw and cooked kitchen waste in January 111, which officially took effect on April 1. This was accompanied by the promotion of the use of transparent trash bags to increase kitchen waste recycling volume. After evaluation and review of the kitchen waste recycling situation, it has been shown that after the implementation of the full recycling policy for raw and cooked kitchen waste, the recycling volume has increased by 40% compared to before December of the previous year (110). This indicates good public cooperation, and the phased objective of the transparent trash bag policy has been achieved. Our bureau will continue to promote the kitchen waste recycling policy for raw and cooked food, but will no longer promote the transparent trash bag policy. |
| 3. | Please review your subordinate agencies' official websites, social media (Facebook fan pages), public broadcast equipment, and other channels. If there is still any information promoting the city's transparent trash bag policy, please assist in removing it immediately to avoid public misunderstanding. |
