New Residents Education and Talent Program - 7th New Residents Dance Competition

Subject: Forwarding the "2022 New Resident Education Achievement Plan - 7th New Resident Dance Competition" entrusted by the Ministry of Education to the National Taiwan College of Performing Arts. Please assist in notifying students or affiliated units, and encourage enthusiastic participation. Please acknowledge receipt.
Explanation:  
I. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter dated July 4, 111 (2022), No. Tai Shi (1) Zi Di 1112603065.
II. To enable new residents and their children to leverage their linguistic and multicultural advantages, and to enhance the public's understanding of the cultures of new residents' home countries, the Ministry of Education has been organizing the aforementioned dance competition since 105 (2016). The aim is to promote multicultural integration and exchange, and to serve as a new artistic platform.
III. The details of the aforementioned competition are as follows:
(1) Registration Period: From August 1, 111 (Monday) to August 31, 111 (Wednesday).
(2) Registration Methods: Mail, fax, email, or online registration are accepted.
1. Mail Registration: Please complete the individual registration form and consent form (as attached in the prospectus), and provide a copy of your personal identification document (participants with new resident status must provide a copy of their household registration transcript or household registration book for eligibility review). Mark "New Resident Dance Competition" and mail to Ms. Jin, Secretary's Office, National Taiwan College of Performing Arts, No. 177, Section 2, Neihu Road, Neihu District, Taipei City.

(3) Eligibility:
1. New residents holding a Republic of China ID card or legal residence permit. For children of new residents, proof of father's or mother's nationality must be provided via a copy of the household registration transcript or household registration book.
2. At least two-thirds of the registered team members must be new residents or children of new residents. For teams of only two people, at least one must be a new resident or child of a new resident. Participants of different nationalities can form a mixed team.
(4) Competition Date and Venue:
1. Northern Preliminary Round: November 6, 111 (2022) at the Performance Hall of Pingzhen Branch, Taoyuan Public Library (No. 88, Section 3, Huan'nan Road, Pingzhen District, Taoyuan City).
2. All-Area Final: December 10, 111 (2022) at the Performance Hall of Taoyuan Arts Center (No. 1188, Zhongzheng Road, Taoyuan District, Taoyuan City).
(5) Competition Rules:
1. Dance Type: Primarily ethnic dances of the new residents' home countries.
2. The submitted works should be original creations of the participants.
3. In the preliminary round, 3 to 5 teams from each group (A and B) will be selected to advance to the all-area final.
(6) For more detailed information, please refer to the competition rules (as attached).
IV. The aforementioned dance competition will be conducted in accordance with the "COVID-19 Response Guidelines for Public Gatherings" issued by the Central Epidemic Command Center and relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education.
