{{ $t('FEZ002') }} Academic Affairs Office|

Subject: To inform you about the Ministry of Transportation's 2021 "Traffic Safety Lesson Plans and Guideline Manual" materials, please be informed.
Explanation:
I. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter No. Tai Jiao Guo Zi No. 1110076853 dated July 5, 2022.
II. To effectively enhance students' safety awareness, reduce accidental injuries, and alleviate teachers' burden of curriculum design, the Ministry of Education has developed age-appropriate safety education curriculum materials for each learning stage, categorized into five major themes: "Traffic Safety, Water Safety, Fall Prevention Safety, Disaster Prevention Safety, and Food and Drug Safety," based on the types of accidents with higher casualty rates among students. The Ministry of Transportation has provided the first version of the aforementioned teaching materials, along with resources for other themes. These are available on the Ministry of Education's "Edu-Cloud" platform, specifically the "Education Marketplace" (https://market.cloud.edu.tw/) and the "Ministry of Education's National Primary and Secondary School Curriculum and Teaching Resources Integration Platform" (https://reurl.cc/e3bxvb).
III. Schools can select and reference these materials for integration into subject-based courses or as school-specific courses, based on student needs and school characteristics, to allow for more flexible teaching and richer curriculum content. This will help strengthen students' traffic safety literacy and awareness. Additionally, the lesson plans and guideline manuals are available on the Ministry of Transportation's resource sharing webpage (https://reurl.cc/A7Nb8e) and the Ministry's aforementioned website. Teachers are encouraged to download and utilize these resources.
IV. Please ensure that your school incorporates safety education (including traffic safety education) into the 2022 academic year's curriculum plan for national primary and secondary schools, and utilize the aforementioned curriculum modules to develop relevant courses.
