For your information, attached is a notice from the Ministry of Education dated July 18, 111 (2022), No. Tai Jiao Ren (II) Zi Di 1114202189A.

Details:
1. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter dated July 18, 111 (2022), No. Tai Jiao Ren (II) Zi Di 1114202189B.

2. Article 34 of the Regulations on the Appointment of Educational Personnel stipulates: "Full-time educational personnel, unless otherwise provided by law, shall not concurrently teach or hold other positions outside their primary employment." Furthermore, Article 22, Paragraph 3 of the National Sports Act, amended and promulgated on January 19, 111 (2022), stipulates: "Sports athletes who have represented the country, if they hold civil servant status, may accept commercial endorsements with the consent of their employing agency (institution), and shall not be restricted by the provisions of the Civil Service Act regarding engaging in business or holding concurrent positions; the regulations regarding the scope, restrictions, and procedures for commercial endorsements shall be determined by the respective competent authorities." Additionally, during the 15th meeting of the 10th Legislative Yuan's 4th session, a supplementary resolution was passed stating that the Ministry of Education should amend the restrictions on commercial endorsements or concurrent positions for public school teachers who have represented the country.

3. The intent of Article 22, Paragraph 3 of the National Sports Act is to facilitate the career development of outstanding athletes and promote the progress of the sports industry, encouraging outstanding athletes to bring honor to the country. Therefore, it is stipulated that sports athletes who hold civil servant status and have represented the country may accept commercial endorsements. Accordingly, for the sake of parity between civil servants and full-time teachers in public schools, it is stipulated that full-time teachers in public schools who have represented or are currently representing the country as athletes may accept commercial endorsements and related procedures after obtaining approval from their employing school.
