| I. | In accordance with the Ministry of Education's National Education Administration's letter dated August 26, 2022, No. 1110111352. |
| II. | According to the 12-year basic education curriculum guidelines, safety education is one of the 19 thematic areas, encompassing five major safety themes: traffic, water, fall prevention, disaster prevention, and food and drug safety. The National Education Administration, through its letter dated February 22, 2022, No. 1110021718, has requested this bureau to guide affiliated elementary and junior high schools in integrating safety education into their 2022 academic year curriculum plans. |
| III. | To enhance teachers' professional knowledge in safety education across all domains and to understand how safety education curriculum modules can be applied in curriculum and instruction, the National Education Administration is subsidizing the Jing-Chuan Foundation to organize traffic safety curriculum workshops. Additionally, it has commissioned National Taiwan Normal University to conduct workshops on the other four safety education themes, as detailed below: |
| (1) | Sessions: A total of 10 sessions will be held from September 21, 2022 (Wednesday) to October 12, 2022 (Wednesday), with 6 sessions for elementary schools and 4 sessions for junior high schools. |
| (2) | Format: Online workshops conducted via Google Meet. |
| (3) | Curriculum Arrangement: The workshops will cover safety education knowledge for each theme, as well as an introduction to and application of safety education curriculum modules. |
| (4) | Registration: Registration is open from now until the deadline for each session. Please register on the National Teacher In-service Education Network (website: https://www.inservice.edu.tw) using the workshop session and code listed in the plan. Participants who complete the entire workshop will receive 3 hours of in-service training credit. |
| IV. | Please inform and encourage teachers at your school to register for these workshops. Authorized personnel will be granted official leave for attendance.
