2023 Vocational Education Word of the Year ElectionPhase 1: Nomination

Education is the foundation of a nation, a right and obligation of all citizens, and a blueprint for our shared future. Vocational education has played an irreplaceable role in our country's economic and social development by cultivating countless practical technical talents. To strengthen interaction between vocational schools and society, and enhance the visibility of vocational education, the New Taipei City Department of Education is organizing the "2023 Vocational Education Word of the Year Election." The public is invited to nominate and vote for the word of the year.

Anyone who cares about the development of vocational education or is interested in this topic can participate in the nomination for the Word of the Year. Nominees are requested to propose a Chinese character and a corresponding English word that reflects the vision for vocational education in 2023. A brief explanation of the nomination reason, within 100 characters, is also required to complete the nomination.

*The organizers will select 10 "candidate words" to advance to the second phase of voting.
*Each person can only nominate once. Duplicate nominations will only retain the first submission.
*If multiple people nominate the same word, an expert committee will convene to select one "candidate word" based on the completeness of the nomination reasons.
