[Science Olympiad Campus Registration and Important Notes]

I. Preliminary Selection Registration Notes:
1. On-campus registration period: April 6-13, 112 (Republic of China calendar). Late applications will not be accepted.
2. Required documents, please fill out the form:

School Email (This is an important contact channel for the exam, please ensure it is correct and not shared. Students need to receive the notification (admission ticket) via email and print it themselves to bring to the examination room.)

Examination Zone: There is no examination zone in Taoyuan. The nearest is the Taipei examination zone (NTNU Gongguan Campus). It is recommended to choose 1 (Taipei examination zone) for all.

Supplementary materials: Science Class admission notification, certificates of excellence (or first place) and merit (or second place) from the divisional science fair (junior high division).After uploading and checking, please submit the original documents to the Academic Affairs Office for scanning..

3. Past exam papers website. Applicants are encouraged to practice diligently and proactively consult with teachers in related fields.Website Link.

4. Maximum number of applicants per school:

(1) Students recommended by each junior high school and junior high division of senior high schools to participate in the preliminary written test. The number of students that can be recommended is calculated as follows:

(i) One student can be recommended for every 4 classes. That is, total number of classes in the school ÷ 4 = number of students that can be recommended. If there is a remainder, 1 additional person can be added. Therefore, our school can recommend 11 students, ranked by grade (9th to 7th) and performance in math and science competitions (with/without).
(ii) Schools that had students admitted to the national team in the previous year (2022) can recommend up to 5 additional students, in addition to the recommendation quota mentioned above.

(2) Each school may recommend students who have won special excellence (or first place) and merit (or second place) in the divisional science fair (junior high division) for the preliminary selection. These recommendations do not count towards the school's quota mentioned above. When registering, the academic affairs office will email a scanned copy of the award certificate to bolten@ntnu.edu.tw.

(3) Each school may recommend students who have already been admitted to the Science Class (approved by the Ministry of Education) for the current year for the preliminary selection. These recommendations do not count towards the school's quota mentioned above. When registering, the academic affairs office needs to email a scanned copy of the Science Class admission notification to bolten@ntnu.edu.tw.
