To inform you about the selection of polling station staff for the 16th Presidential and Vice Presidential Election and the 11th Legislative Yuan Election in Luzhu District.
Explanation:
I. In accordance with the letter from the Taoyuan City Election Commission dated April 13, 112 (2023), No. 1120000443.
II. The 16th Presidential and Vice Presidential Election and the 11th Legislative Yuan Election are scheduled to be held on January 13, 113 (2024) (Saturday).
III. According to Articles 58 and 59 of the Public Officials Election and Recall Act, and Article 24 of the Referendum Act, which applies the preceding legal provisions, the chief administrator, chief supervisor, and more than half of the administrators of the polling stations must be current civil servants or teachers. The Election Commission may request recommendations from government agencies and public schools at all levels for selection. Government agencies, public schools, and their staff who are requested to recommend or are selected shall not refuse.
IV. Furthermore, according to Article 60 of the Public Officials Election and Recall Act, polling station and vote counting station staff shall attend training sessions organized by the Election Commission and shall be granted official leave. Therefore, the training sessions for polling station staff for this election are expected to be held from mid-November to early December 112 (2023). Those who do not attend the aforementioned training sessions shall not serve as election staff.
V. In accordance with the spirit of the Executive Yuan's letter dated November 9, 72 (1983), No. Tai 72 Ren Zheng Can Zi Di 30519, election staff who participate in election work will be granted one day of compensatory leave.
VI. Regarding the remuneration for polling station staff, it will be paid according to the standards set forth in the "Remuneration Table for Election Work" approved by the Executive Yuan's letter dated May 24, 110 (2021), No. Yuan Shou Ren Ge Zi Di 1104000322. For elections with 3 types of ballots, the remuneration is NT$3,400 for the chief administrator, NT$2,800 for the chief supervisor, NT$2,200 for administrators, NT$1,800 for supervisors, and NT$1,800 for reserve staff.
VII. If our school colleagues are interested in participating in this polling and vote counting work, please fill out the complete information, obtain signatures from your unit supervisor, HR supervisor, and the head of the agency (school), and submit it via fax (03-3118415) or email (10032653@mail.tycg.gov.tw) to this office by June 30, 112 (2023) (Friday) without a formal cover letter for registration. For members of the public or university students, only the signature of the applicant is required in the signature field.
