| 2. | The purpose of this case is to enhance teachers' environmental awareness and sensitivity, identify environmental issues, and improve teachers' environmental education teaching skills through environmental education visits and workshops. |
| 3. | The relevant information for this workshop is as follows: |
| (1) | Time: May 31, 112 (Wednesday), 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. |
| (2) | Location: Luojiakeng Ecological Protection Area (Yangmingshan National Park). |
| (3) | Course Outline: This course will visit the Luojiakeng Ecological Protection Area in Yangmingshan National Park. This protected area is full of primeval broad-leaved forests with rich biodiversity, not only home to various animals but also nurturing rare plants such as Rhododendron rubropunctatum, Cornus kousa, and Ilex rotunda. We will explore the Maple Forest Waterfall area, listen to beautiful soundscapes amidst the babbling streams, discover vibrant life in the lush and beautiful rainforest, learn about many rare plants in Taiwan, and feel the importance of environmental protection for environmental sustainability, thereby enhancing environmental sustainability knowledge; and during quiet walks, feel the lightness of body and mind, and thus comprehend the meaning of "sustainable" living. |
| (4) | Participants: Faculty and staff of all levels of schools in this city. Additionally, as this is a certification renewal workshop for environmental education personnel, priority will be given to faculty and staff who have already obtained environmental education personnel certification. The limit is 36 people, and registration will close once the quota is reached. |
| (5) | Activity Description: The entire route is a mountain hiking trail, approximately 10 kilometers round trip. Participants must consider their own physical condition and should not force themselves to participate. It is recommended to start physical training, such as running or brisk walking, at least two weeks before the event. |
| (6) | Meeting Point: Please gather at Guanyin Junior High School by 7:25 AM on the day of the event (park cars on both sides of the school's outer wall). As the route is a bit far, departure will be strictly at 7:30 AM. No latecomers will be accommodated. |
| (7) | Registration Method: |
| 1. | Please complete the registration by filling out the form at https://forms.gle/x2nywJ7GVgZKGWBVA before the end of the workday on May 19, 112 (Friday). |
| 2. | After submitting the registration form, please also register on the city's Education Development Resource Portal (https://drp.tyc.edu.tw/TYDRP/Index.aspx) under Guanyin Junior High School to facilitate the issuance of teacher training hours. |
| 3. | Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis according to the order in which the forms are filled out. If you have any needs or questions, please contact Director Zhu Weijun of Guanyin Junior High School directly. |
| (8) | Training Hours: Participants who complete the entire program will be awarded 6 hours of training for environmental education personnel certification renewal. Those who do not have environmental education personnel certification can still register for 6 hours of environmental education training. |
| (9) | Leave of Absence: Personnel and staff participating in this event will be granted official (business) leave by their respective schools, based on their authority, under the principle of self-managed leave and without payment for substitute teachers. |
| (10) | Equipment and Personal Items: |
| 1. | Fruits, snacks (candies, biscuits, chocolates, etc.), at least 1500cc of drinking water, and sports drinks. |
| 2. | Raincoat (umbrella is not suitable), high boots, mask, backpack, hat, sweat towel, tissues, small plastic bag for trash, personal medication, and health insurance card. |
| 3. | Items that may be brought depending on the situation: flashlight or headlamp, trekking poles, knee pads. |
| 4. | Please wear sturdy hiking shoes or athletic shoes (canvas shoes are not recommended), and comfortable, breathable tops. Also, bring a jacket and a set of clean clothes (to change into after descending). |
| 5. | You may also bring sports sandals to change into on the bus for comfort after descending. |
