| Subject: | Attached is the "Close to the Soil, Familiar with Farming - Food and Agriculture Classroom" curriculum and teaching implementation plan for the 112th academic year by the National Teachers' Union. We kindly request your assistance in informing teachers at your school to actively participate. Please refer to the details in the explanation section for further information. |
Explanation:
1. The "National Teachers' Union" (hereinafter referred to as: the Union) aims to promote the revival of domestic coarse grains and the understanding of local agricultural culture, while focusing on food self-sufficiency. Since 2011, the Union has been dedicated to promoting "Close to the Soil, Familiar with Farming" related activities by integrating resources from various sectors, thereby fostering food and agriculture education from an early age.
2. To invite more teachers to integrate the "Food and Agriculture Classroom" into their curriculum and teaching, the Union is providing a "Teaching Seed Box" (application method as attached). The box contains seeds of six types of coarse grains, a teaching handbook, and other resources for teachers to implement and innovate in their food and agriculture courses.
3. To help participating teachers better understand the meaning of "Close to the Soil, Familiar with Farming" and how to conduct "Food and Agriculture Classroom" teaching, the Union will continue to collaborate with the Department of Preschool and Elementary Education of the Ministry of Education in the 112th academic year to organize teacher training courses. Teachers and farmers who have implemented the curriculum in various regions will be invited to share their experiences. Information on each session will be announced in the "Food and Agriculture Classroom" section on the Union's website.
4. We kindly request your assistance in posting and disseminating this plan, encouraging teachers at your school to actively participate.
