Coupled with resource shortages of wheat, fertilizer, and fuel caused by the Russia-Ukraine conflict, agricultural productivity and supply have been affected. Approximately 50 million people worldwide are on the brink of famine, facing an even more severe crisis in future food security. Ensuring a stable food supply has become a major global issue. Therefore, the National Science and Technology Council Disaster Prevention and Protection Office has invited Dr. Chang Ching-chen, a researcher from the Institute of Economics, Academia Sinica, to provide a professional analysis and share insights on food security. |
