For your information, regarding the management of attendance for personnel in various government agencies and schools in Taoyuan City, in conjunction with the announcement by the Centers for Disease Control, Ministry of Health and Welfare (hereinafter referred to as the CDC) on August 1, 2023, that 'starting from August 15, the number of days for self-health management for individuals with mild or asymptomatic COVID-19 positive test results will be adjusted from 10 days to 5 days; at the same time, supportive leave measures during the self-health management period for all categories of individuals will be completely canceled.'

To inform you about the management of attendance for personnel in various government agencies and schools in Taoyuan City, in conjunction with the announcement by the Centers for Disease Control, Ministry of Health and Welfare (hereinafter referred to as the CDC) on August 1, 2023, that 'starting from August 15, the duration of self-health management for mild/asymptomatic individuals who test positive for COVID-19 will be adjusted from 10 days to 5 days; at the same time, supportive leave measures during the self-health management period will be completely canceled for all categories of individuals.'

Explanation:
1. In accordance with the letter from the Directorate-General of Personnel Administration, Executive Yuan (hereinafter referred to as the DGPA) dated August 7, 2023, No. 1123028345, with a copy of the original letter attached.

2. To comply with the CDC's announcement, starting from August 15, 2023 (based on the date of a positive test result), personnel in various agencies and schools who require leave during their self-health management period shall apply for leave in accordance with the leave regulations applicable to their respective categories. That is, those who require leave due to mild or asymptomatic COVID-19 positive test results should apply for sick leave or other appropriate leave categories in accordance with relevant regulations (such as the Regulations for the Granting of Leave for Civil Servants, etc.).

3. The regulations stipulated in the DGPA's letter dated March 14, 2023, No. 1123024982, and the Taoyuan City Government's letter dated March 20, 2023, No. 1120066204, regarding the granting of up to 6 days of sick leave for personnel who test positive for COVID-19 and are mildly symptomatic and unable to work, and that this sick leave will not be counted towards annual sick leave days or affect performance evaluations, will cease to apply from August 15, 2023.
