Teacher Workshop on "Marine National Park Guided Tours and Environmental Education Experience"

| I. | Our office manages two marine national parks, Dongsha Atoll and the South Penghu Marine National Park. The South Penghu Marine National Park serves as the base for our marine environmental education platform. This year, we were invited by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education of the Ministry of Education to collaborate on local education initiatives. With "Local Science" as the core curriculum, we integrated marine environmental education resources to design experiential environmental education activities that connect national parks with local education. |
| II. | Our office has planned two "In-house Workshops" at our Interpretation Hall, offering "Marine National Park Guided Tours and Environmental Education Experiences." These workshops will utilize environmental education lesson plans suitable for elementary and secondary students, as well as families, to convey national park and marine conservation concepts through hands-on activities. The aim is to enhance the effectiveness of local education, apply it to teaching, and foster an understanding and exploration of the ocean to promote life sciences, humanities, and social interaction. |
| III. | The workshop dates are Wednesday, November 8, 2023, and Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Registration is open from now until October 30.
