| I. | To encourage teachers to pursue professional development and research, and to enhance their professional knowledge and skills, this city will continue to implement the aforementioned plan, further encouraging outstanding teachers and administrative staff to engage in advanced studies and research, in order to broaden their global perspective and keep pace with educational trends. |
| II. | The aforementioned plan has been partially revised in 113, with the key points summarized as follows: |
| (1) | Eligibility and Qualifications: Full-time qualified teachers and administrative staff (referring to teachers with administrative duties and principals) in municipal schools and kindergartens at all levels in this city. Applicants must have served in this city for 7 years (inclusive) or more within the last 10 years, or have a cumulative service of 8 years and have served in their current school for 2 years or more (including national institutions before restructuring). When applying, applicants can choose a group: |
| 1. | General Teacher and Administrative Staff Group: Outstanding performance in teaching innovation, administrative innovation, student counseling, administrative services, and educational sharing during their service in this city. |
| 2. | Bilingual Teacher Group: Outstanding achievements in bilingual teaching in schools in this city for 2 years (inclusive) or more. |
| (2) | Study Schedule and Number of Awards: When the awardee is a principal, the study must be conducted during the summer vacation. The number of awards for the General Teacher and Administrative Staff Group is 6 teachers and 3 administrative staff, and for the Bilingual Group, it is 3 teachers (reserve candidates may be selected as needed). The quotas for each category may be interchanged, and the number of selected candidates may be less than or more than the allocated number. |
| (3) | Financial Subsidy: In addition to salary, this bureau will subsidize full-time teachers and administrative staff selected for full-time advanced study and research with NT$35,000. This subsidy is intended to cover related expenses incurred during domestic or international advanced study and research, including fees charged according to the regulations of the study institution, as well as expenses for books, teaching materials, stationery, travel (including airfare), and visas purchased for the approved full-time study period or in preparation for full-time study and research, provided they are deemed consistent with the study plan and supported by relevant documentation. Teachers should apply for the subsidy for advanced study and research expenses after the end of the semester or the study/research phase, by submitting certificates of completion, course attendance records, or research proofs that demonstrate the completion of the study. |
| (4) | Important Notes: Upon completion of the advanced study and research period, participants are required to participate in relevant teaching sharing activities designated by this bureau (2 sessions for semester-long study, 1 session for summer study). This can be done by sharing at their original school or at an invited external venue (online seminars are also acceptable and can be combined with project briefing sessions). For applicants of the Bilingual Teacher Group, the purpose of their study must be related to improving bilingual teaching skills. After completing their full-time domestic or international advanced study and research, they may opt to produce at least one lesson plan and teaching video, and upload it to the designated platform after revision by the city's English Teaching Resource Center, in lieu of one teaching sharing session. This aims to share research experiences and pass on educational concepts to broaden the impact of their advanced study and research. |
| (5) | The form of full-time advanced study and research can be diverse (e.g., collaboration with enterprises, visits, surveys, academic exchanges, action research, etc.) and is not limited to academic institutions. Applicants should independently seek relevant institutions for matching based on their needs and ensure alignment with their study objectives. During the study and research period, participants are not allowed to hold concurrent positions or engage in paid work. If they are invited to give lectures related to teaching or research and receive lecture fees, they must obtain prior approval from this bureau. |
| III. | Schools (including kindergartens) are requested to assist in recommending their outstanding teachers to apply enthusiastically. Please submit the application form and other relevant documents to the designated handling school, Qingxi Junior High School, by Tuesday, October 31, 112. |
