To inform you that according to Article 7, Paragraph 3 of the National Pension Act, the deadline for participating in the National Pension Insurance for those receiving relevant social insurance old-age benefits was September 30, 112 (2023). Attached are relevant official letters from the Ministry of Civil Service and the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
Details:
1. In accordance with the Ministry of Civil Service's official letter No. 1125617086, dated October 3, 112 (2023).
2. Article 7, Paragraph 3 of the National Pension Act stipulates that individuals under the age of 65 who are registered in Taiwan and who, within 15 years of the Act's enforcement, have accumulated less than 15 years of service for receiving relevant social insurance old-age benefits, or whose lump-sum old-age benefits from labor insurance or other social insurance are less than NT$500,000, shall participate in the National Pension Insurance (hereinafter referred to as "National Pension"), unless they are already participating in other social insurance. This is for your information.
3. The aforementioned provision expired on October 1, 112 (2023), after 15 years of implementation. Those who receive relevant social insurance old-age benefits (including retirement benefits from the Civil Service Insurance) on or after this date are no longer eligible to participate in the National Pension.
