Outdoor and Marine Risk Management Professional Faculty Training Program

Subject: To inform you about the "Advanced Teacher Training Course" of the Outdoor and Marine Risk Management Professional Teacher Training Program, organized by National Taiwan Ocean University at the request of the Ministry of Education's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Details are as follows. Please take note.
Details:  
1. In accordance with the official letter from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Ministry of Education (hereinafter referred to as the "Department") dated October 20, 112 (2023), Ref. No. 1120146510.
2. To enhance teachers' professional capabilities and practical skills in outdoor and marine education risk management, the Department will offer advanced training courses nationwide starting from December 112 (2023).
3. Target Audience: Teachers who have completed the risk management training courses from 109 (2020) to 111 (2022).
4. The details of the aforementioned courses are as follows:
(1) Outdoor Law and Insurance Course: To be held from December 9 (Saturday) to December 10 (Sunday), 112 (2023), at National Taiwan Ocean University.
(2) Open Water Activity Risk Management and ACA Platform Kayak Leader Course: To be held from December 30 (Saturday), 112 (2023) to January 1 (Monday), 113 (2024), in the Dapeng Bay and Donggang sea areas.
(3) Advanced Wilderness First Aid (WAFA) Course: To be held from January 22 (Monday) to January 25 (Thursday), 113 (2024), at the Girl Scouts of Taiwan Training Center.
(4) High Mountain Activity Risk Management and Advanced Mountaineering Skills Course: To be held from January 28 (Sunday) to February 1 (Thursday), 113 (2024), from Zhijiamoushan to Jiaming Lake in Taitung.

5. We kindly request your school to grant participants official leave (or business leave) and arrange for substitute teachers for their classes. Substitute teachers may be hired according to regulations and paid hourly wages from the "Personnel Expenses - Employment and Part-time Personnel Salaries - Part-time Personnel Remuneration" item in the 112 (2023) school budget of the Bureau's Local Education Development Fund. If there are any shortfalls, the Bureau will handle the subsidy accordingly.
