| Subject: | Regarding the application materials for the "Fun Math Camp - Winter Session" under the 112th year "Just Do Math 4.0: Enhancing and Practicing Mathematics Teachers' Teaching Competencies" project, funded by the Ministry of Education's National and Preschool Education Administration and executed by the National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) Mathematics Education Center. We request schools to assist in publicizing and notifying their affiliated teachers to apply. Please be informed. |

| 1. | In accordance with the official letter from the National Taiwan Normal University dated November 20, 112 (NTNU Math Center Letter No. 1121033510). |
| 2. | Information regarding the aforementioned matter is as follows: |
| (1) | Objectives: |
| 1. | To collaborate with the Ministry of Education, county and city education bureaus, and academia to promote the training of mathematics teaching personnel. |
| 2. | By connecting with actual curricula, to deepen the concepts and practical applications of foundational mathematics modules and competency-oriented teaching methods in mathematics instruction and learning support for elementary and junior high schools across Taiwan. |
| 3. | To stimulate students' interest in learning mathematics through engaging activities, build their foundational experience, and enhance their willingness to learn, especially for students who are not adequately prepared for mathematics. |
| (2) | Content of the Fun Math Camp: Based on the 175 foundational mathematics modules announced by the NTNU Mathematics Education Center. Related lesson plan materials can be found in the download section of the NTNU Mathematics Education Center website. |
| (3) | Eligibility: |
| 1. | Instructors must possess a certificate from relevant training courses conducted by the NTNU Mathematics Education Center. |
| 2. | Applying schools may also recruit teachers with relevant certificates to instruct the math camp, facilitating cross-school collaboration. |
| 3. | Those who have not yet completed training can submit a training proposal plan and must complete the training and obtain a certificate before the application deadline. For example: planning to participate in training for the EasyMath Base program, training for activity facilitators organized by local groups, training for activity facilitators organized by the NTNU Mathematics Education Center, or training for the "Foundation into the Classroom" co-planning camp, or intending to gather 15 teachers of the same grade level (e.g., upper elementary or junior high) to apply for training activities. Instructors must complete the training before applying for project activities. |
| (4) | Application Period: From November 20, 112 (Monday) to December 20, 112 (Wednesday) at 5:00 PM. Application proposals must be uploaded to the project reporting system. Late submissions will not be accepted. |
| (5) | Application Method: |
| 1. | All applications must be submitted online via the reporting system: https://teach.cloud.ncnu.edu.tw/ (Ministry of Education National and Preschool Education Administration Elementary and Junior High School Curriculum and Teaching Project Reporting System / Fun Math Camp). |
| 2. | Log in and register using your Education Cloud account to submit your application. Applications should be submitted separately for the upper elementary (grades 5-6) or junior high school groups. |
| 3. | The online application proposal must be signed by the applicant and the principal, and then scanned and uploaded to the project reporting system: https://teach.cloud.ncnu.edu.tw/ by December 20, 112 (Wednesday) at 5:00 PM. Late submissions will not be accepted. |
| 4. | Following the review of applications, the list of approved projects is expected to be announced on the NTNU Mathematics Education Center website on December 27, 112. |
| (6) | Activity Guidelines: |
| 1. | Application Groups: Divided into upper elementary (grades 5-6) and junior high school groups. |
| 2. | Application Restrictions: 1 unit is 1 class session. Each class must conduct at least 2 units (multiples of 2). Each school can apply for a maximum of 24 class sessions. |
| 3. | Instruction Time: Each unit is 1.5 hours of instruction; each class must have at least 3 hours of instruction. |
| 4. | Teachers: |
| (1) | The main instructor must possess a certificate from relevant training courses conducted by the NTNU Mathematics Education Center. Teaching assistants (TAs) are not required to have a certificate (TAs are optional support staff; schools can arrange them based on activity needs). |
| (2) | Guidelines for TA Hourly Wages: TAs are eligible to receive hourly wages for this activity if they possess a certificate from any training course offered by the NTNU Mathematics Education Center or are faculty members of the school, and are not receiving other work fees concurrently. |
| 5. | Camp Size: Large classes are limited to 16-35 students; small classes require at least 5-15 students. |
| 6. | Winter Camp Period: January 20, 113 to February 14, 113. |
| (7) | Adjustment of Subsidy Model: |
| 1. | The maximum subsidy for 1 large class session is NT$1,425, and for 1 small class session is NT$712.5. The subsidy covers hourly wages, material costs, printing fees, and miscellaneous expenses, which can be flexibly allocated. |
| 2. | Hourly Wages: Maximum NT$900 per class session for the main instructor, and NT$450 per class session for the TA (TA's wage is half of the main instructor's). Reimbursement requires submission of relevant receipts. Do not claim other work fees if hourly wages have already been received. |
| 3. | Miscellaneous Expenses Limit: Calculated as 8% of (hourly wages + material costs + printing fees). Miscellaneous expenses can be used for postage, stationery, and rewards (e.g., cookies, candies) related to the project's teaching practice. If you wish to use miscellaneous expenses for other items, please inquire via email or phone beforehand. |
| 4. | Consultation (Writing) Fee: For each class (defined as two sessions), one student learning outcome consultation form is required, with a subsidy of NT$1,000 per form. Consultation content includes pre-camp questionnaires, analysis of immediate assessment results, and student learning outcome consultation. |
| 5. | Please mail all relevant receipts, along with the student learning outcome consultation form, pre-camp questionnaire, and immediate assessment questionnaire, for reimbursement within two weeks after the activity concludes. The postmark date will be used as the reference. Late submissions will not be accepted. |
| 6. | The student learning outcome consultation form and student photo release consent form (submitted electronically) are mandatory documents. Failure to complete them will result in the denial of subsidies for related expenses. |
| (8) | Notes: |
| 1. | Documents to be submitted after the activity concludes: |
| (1) | Student learning outcome consultation form and student photo release consent form (submitted electronically). The student photo release consent form can be downloaded from the NTNU Mathematics Education Center website. |
| (2) | Student pre-camp questionnaire and immediate assessment questionnaire (submitted in hard copy). |
| (3) | Activity photos: 5 photos per class (can be included in the student learning outcome consultation form and submitted electronically). |
| (4) | Video files/CDs of student activities are welcome. |
| 2. | A selection of approved schools will be visited by committee members for on-site observation. These visits will be arranged and notified separately by the NTNU Mathematics Education Center. |
| 3. | In case of cancellation, please notify the designated personnel by phone or email in advance. |
| (9) | The NTNU Mathematics Education Center reserves the right to make the final decision on the list of approved applicants. Any changes or related information will be announced on the NTNU Mathematics Education Center website (https://www.ime.ntnu.edu.tw/). Please stay updated. |
