Prevent carbon monoxide poisoning, please strictly follow the 5 key principles.
1. Ensure good ventilation.
Avoid illegal use of balconies, installing doors and windows, unclean screens, and drying large amounts of clothes. In addition, when cooking with gas, charcoal, or alcohol, be sure to open doors and windows to maintain ventilation.
2. Pay attention to regular maintenance.
Water heaters should be regularly inspected or replaced. If you notice unstable water temperature or when replacing components, always hire a qualified technician.
3. Use safe water heater brands.
Water heaters should have the CNS (National Standard) and TGAS (Taiwan Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association) inspection and approval marks.
4. Choose the correct type of water heater.
In poorly ventilated indoor areas, sealed or semi-sealed forced exhaust type should be installed; in well-ventilated or outdoor areas, outdoor or open type should be installed.
5. Pay attention to safe installation.
Installed by a qualified technician according to installation standards.
