Exemplary Lesson Plan Selection and Implementation Plan for Integrated National Defense Education

Subject: Attached is the "Implementation Plan for the Selection of Excellent Integrated Teaching Lesson Plans for National Elementary and Junior High School National Defense Education, Second Session" from the Ministry of Education. Please be informed.
Explanation:  
1. This is in accordance with the "National Defense Education Law," "National Defense Mobilization Preparation Law," "Measures for the Content and Implementation of National Defense Education Courses in Schools at All Levels," and the "Implementation Plan for Promoting National Defense Education in Schools at All Levels," as well as the Ministry of Education's official letter No. TAI-HSUEH-CHU-6-1122806700 dated December 21, 112 (2023).
2. To continuously encourage teachers in national elementary and junior high schools to utilize their creativity and professional teaching skills, collect excellent lesson plans, and discover teachers who are passionate and professional in national defense education, this excellent lesson plan selection activity is being organized to promote and implement national defense education at the elementary and junior high school levels.
3. The details of the aforementioned lesson plan selection are as follows (please refer to the attached implementation plan for details):
(1) The implementation methods are summarized as follows:
1. Eligibility: Current teachers in public and private elementary and junior high schools.
2. Each lesson plan can involve a maximum of 3 teachers, and they must be employed in schools within this city.
3. Lesson plan content should be designed within the various learning domains of elementary and junior high school (domains can be combined) and integrate one of the five major themes of national defense education (national defense, international affairs, national defense policy, defense mobilization, and national defense technology).
(2) Submission method: Please submit the recommended lesson plans directly to this bureau by Thursday, June 27, 113 (2024).
(3) Selection method: The Ministry of Education will convene a final review meeting to select the outstanding lesson plans.
(4) Awards:
1. Awards: Approximately 22 lesson plans are expected to be selected.
2. Awardees:
(1) Each teacher whose lesson plan is selected will be awarded a certificate of commendation from the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Education will request the employing school to issue a commendation.
(2) A manuscript fee of up to NT$10,000 will be awarded for each selected lesson plan based on actual costs.
4. Schools are requested to encourage teachers to participate enthusiastically.
