| I. | In accordance with the Bureau's official letter dated September 8, 2023, No. 1120089363, and the official letter from Happy Elementary School, Taoyuan District, Taoyuan City (hereinafter referred to as Happy Elementary School) dated December 7, 2023, No. 1120008249. |
| II. | To enhance the foreign language proficiency of young students in our city, cultivate a global perspective and international vision, and enable them to connect with the world, this competition is specially organized. |
| III. | The competition information is summarized as follows (details in the implementation plan): |
| (1) | Competition Date: March 16, 2024 (Saturday). |
| (2) | Registration Period and Method: From Saturday, February 17, 2024, to Friday, February 23, 2024, all groups must register on the Taoyuan City English Competition registration website (https://tycenglish.tyc.edu.tw/). After completing online registration, print the registration form, copyright and portrait rights authorization form, and mail (postmark as proof) or fax it to the organizing school below to complete the registration process (based on the paper registration form). If the number of registered students from a school exceeds the limit, admission will be based on the order of registration. |
| 1. | Elementary School Group: Please mail to the Academic Affairs Office, Happy Elementary School, No. 789, Dayou Road, Taoyuan District, Taoyuan City, or fax to 03-358-0002 to Happy Elementary School. |
| 2. | Junior High School Group, Senior High School Group, and College Group: Please mail to the Academic Affairs Office, Hui Ji Junior High School, No. 222, Daxing Road, Taoyuan District, Taoyuan City, or fax to 03-355-1683 to Taoyuan City Hui Ji Junior High School. |
| (3) | Competition Topics: Except for the elementary school storytelling group, where participants prepare their own topics, experts and scholars will be invited to help create topics for other groups. The competition topics for each group will be announced on Friday, February 16, 2024. |
| (4) | Competition Serial Number: Please send a representative from your school to Happy Elementary School at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, to participate in the public drawing of stage serial numbers. If no representative attends, Happy Elementary School will draw on your behalf. The competition serial numbers will be announced before noon on Thursday, March 7, 2024, on the following websites: Taoyuan City English Competition registration webpage (https://tycenglish.tyc.edu.tw/), Happy Elementary School webpage (http://www.happy.tyc.edu.tw/), and Hui Ji Junior High School webpage (http://www.kjjhs.tyc.edu.tw/). No separate notification will be sent. |
| (5) | Competition and Award Ceremony Venue: |
| 1. | Elementary School Group: Happy Elementary School. |
| 2. | Junior High School Group, Senior High School Group, and College Group: Hui Ji Junior High School. |
| 3. | Award Ceremony: Hui Ji Junior High School. |
| IV. | If your school organizes its own preliminary selection for this competition, please carefully consider the fairness and completeness of the relevant competition details to ensure impartiality and reasonableness. |
| V. | The aforementioned plan can be downloaded from the English Competition registration webpage. Please pay attention to the registration deadline; late submissions will not be accepted. |
