| Explanation: |
| I. | This is handled in accordance with the Ministry of Education's Department of National and Preschool Education's official letters dated December 27, 112, Ref. No. 1120183764 and 1120183764A. |
| II. | To enhance teaching exchange and experience inheritance between general and remote public elementary and junior high schools (hereinafter referred to as remote schools), the Department has specially formulated the aforementioned program to encourage outstanding formal teachers from general schools to engage in teaching visits in remote schools, in order to improve the experience inheritance and educational innovation of teachers in remote schools. |
| III. | A summary of the aforementioned program is as follows (details are in the attachment): |
| (1) | Schedule: From August 1, 113 to July 31, 114. Applications for "Teaching Visiting Teacher" and "Host School" for the 113 academic year are now being accepted. |
| (2) | Teaching Visiting Teacher: |
| 1. | Eligibility: |
| (1) | Formal teachers currently employed in general schools with a total of 6 or more years of formal teaching experience, or retired teachers from public elementary and junior high schools. |
| (2) | Those who meet the aforementioned conditions and one of the following criteria may apply: |
| A. | Recipients of awards or outstanding performance in curriculum and teaching related selections or initiatives organized by national, municipal, or county/city governments or private organizations, such as the National Teaching Excellence Award, SUPER/POWER Teacher Award, Special Outstanding Teacher Award, Reading Cornerstone Award, Reading Teacher Award, and other curriculum and teaching competition awards or outstanding performance in related initiatives. |
| B. | Individuals who have served as members of the central curriculum and teaching guidance advisory team or municipal/county/city elementary education guidance groups for 2 or more years and have conducted on-site guidance 3 or more times. |
| C. | Individuals with educational philosophy and passion, outstanding teaching achievements, and who are recommended by the municipal or county/city government. |
| 2. | Awards and Subsidies: |
| (1) | Teaching Visiting Teacher: Subsidy for travel expenses. Those who serve continuously for 2 academic years and are selected for outstanding performance may be subsidized for overseas school visits. Those who have already received one subsidy for an overseas school visit and continue to serve for another academic year (totaling 3 consecutive academic years) and are selected for outstanding performance may be granted official leave and a second subsidy for an overseas school visit, with a 50% subsidy. |
| (2) | Original School of the Teaching Visiting Teacher: Subsidy for the cost of hiring a substitute teacher and funding for curriculum and teaching development. |
| 3. | Application Method: |
| (1) | Current Teachers: Please complete Attachment 2 of the program, "Teaching Visiting Teacher Application Form," and submit it through your original school to this Bureau by March 19, 113 (Tuesday). The Bureau will then compile and forward it to the National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism, the implementing team commissioned by the Department, for application. |
| (2) | Retired Teachers from Public Elementary and Junior High Schools: Please complete Attachment 3 of the program, "Teaching Visiting Teacher Application Form," and submit it directly to the National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism by March 31, 113 (Sunday) for application. |
| (3) | Host School |
| 1. | Eligibility: Public elementary and junior high schools designated as remote schools by the Ministry of Education in accordance with Article 4 of the "Regulations on Educational Development for Remote Schools" and Articles 4 and 5 of the "Standards for Classification and Identification of Remote Schools" may apply. |
| 2. | Awards and Subsidies: Funding for curriculum and teaching development. |
| 3. | Application Method: Please complete Attachment 1 of the program, "Host School Application Form," and submit it through your original school to this Bureau by March 19, 113 (Tuesday). The Bureau will then compile and forward it to the National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism for application. |
