2024 "Cool English Self-Learning Activity" Incentive Measures

| Subject: | Forwarding the "Cool English Self-Learning Activity" Incentive Measures for 2024, organized by the National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) commissioned by the Ministry of Education's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DOESE). | Explanation: |
| I. | In accordance with the DOESE's letter dated January 3, 2024, Ref. No. 1130000540. |
| II. | To encourage students to develop the habit of self-directed English learning, the DOESE has commissioned NTNU's "Online English Learning Platform" (Cool English) to organize the "Cool English Self-Learning Activity" for 2024. This activity invites elementary and junior high school students nationwide to make full use of the online resources on the Cool English platform for self-study, thereby enhancing their English proficiency in various aspects. |
| III. | Participants include students in grades 3-6 of public and private elementary schools nationwide (Elementary Group) and students in grades 7-9 of junior high schools (Junior High Group). Each group is further divided into a general region school group and a remote region school group based on their enrolled school (the remote region school group is defined according to the "List of Remote Elementary and Junior High Schools" announced by the Ministry of Education in 2022, including remote, very remote, and extremely remote types of schools). |
| IV. | The activity will run from February 1, 2024 (Thursday) to December 31, 2024 (Tuesday), with a total of 11 sessions. Participants who meet the learning standards will be entered into a monthly lucky draw.
