    In response tothe Ministry of Education's implementation of the 'Program to Narrow the Gap in Tuition and Miscellaneous Fees Between Public and Private Schools and Its Supporting Measures' (TaoyuanCity Government's Official Letter No. 1130020876 dated January 26, 113 [2024]), starting from February 113 [2024], a fixed amount of NT$35,000 per year will be provided to reduce the difference in tuition and miscellaneous fees for private university students (a reduction of17,500per semester, with a total annual reduction of35,000).

Based on the principle of not double-dipping government tuition subsidies, if students are eligible for other tuition reduction programs or subsidies from other ministries, they may choose one option that is most beneficial to them based on their personal preference.choose one and get the bestfor tuition subsidies.

Given that the children's education subsidy for children attending private universities for civil servants is higher than the aforementioned subsidy from the Ministry of Education, the recommended procedure is as follows:

1. If the tuition bill you received for your child attending a private university has already deducted NT$17,500, please do not pay it yet. Contact the university's billing department first (it has been found that many private universities have relevant announcements on their official websites). Request a revised tuition bill (without the NT$17,500 deduction), pay it, and thensubmit the receiptto apply for the children's education subsidy amount (NT$35,800) from our school.
2. If you have already paid the bill (with the NT$17,500 deduction already applied), you can still apply for the children's education subsidy amount (NT$35,800) from our school. However, you will need to contact the billing department of the university your child attends, pay back the NT$17,500 to the university, and then submit the receipt to our school's HR office for record-keeping.
