As the Lunar New Year approaches, all faculty and staff are requested to strictly adhere to the "Taoyuan City Government Employee Integrity and Ethics Regulations."
Details:
1. In accordance with the letter from the Taoyuan City Government's Office of Integrity and Prevention, dated January 31, 113 (2024), document number: Fu Zheng Yu Zi Di 1130027988.
2. As the Lunar New Year approaches, all faculty and staff are requested to strictly adhere to the "Taoyuan City Government Employee Integrity and Ethics Regulations" (hereinafter referred to as "the Regulations"), for example:
(1) Gifts from individuals with a conflict of interest with one's duties should be refused or returned, unless falling under the exceptions in Article 4 of the Regulations. The matter should be reported to one's superior and the Office of Integrity and Prevention should be notified.
(2) Attendance at banquets and social events hosted by individuals with a conflict of interest with one's duties is prohibited, unless falling under the exceptions in Article 7, Paragraph 1 of the Regulations. In exceptional circumstances, such as official duties, ceremonial occasions, or public events related to folk customs and festivals, attendance is permitted only after reporting to one's superior and notifying the Office of Integrity and Prevention in accordance with Article 10.
(3) Regarding matters involving requests or recommendations, the provisions of Article 11 of the Regulations should be fully implemented by reporting to one's superior and notifying the Office of Integrity and Prevention to maintain public trust in the impartial execution of duties by civil servants.
3. To deepen the understanding of integrity and ethics regulations, please actively utilize teaching resources such as the Executive Yuan's Directorate-General of Personnel Administration, Civil Service Development Institute's "e-Learning Public Garden+ Learning Platform" (https://elearn.hrd.gov.tw/mooc/index.php) to study relevant courses on integrity and ethics.
4. Attached are one copy each of the "Taoyuan City Government Employee Integrity and Ethics Regulations" and the "Integrity and Ethics Incident Registration Form" (as per attachment).
