| Subject: | Regarding the Ministry of Education's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (hereinafter referred to as the "Department") "2030 Bilingual Policy (2022-2024) - Enhancing the Teaching Effectiveness of Elementary and Junior High School English Teachers - Domestic Professional Development and Overseas Short-Term Study Programs for Teachers - 2024 Overseas Short-Term Study for Elementary and Junior High School English Teachers" application deadline extension to March 15, 2024 (Friday) and the briefing session, please refer to the details below for your reference. |

| 1. | In accordance with the Department's official letter No. 1135500450 dated March 4, 2024. |
| 2. | To assist public elementary and junior high school English teachers in improving their English teaching effectiveness, the Department has commissioned National Taiwan Normal University to organize the aforementioned program. By sending English teachers for short-term overseas study during the summer, they can teach students with better teaching strategies, thereby enhancing students' English learning outcomes. |
| 3. | Considering that the application period coincides with the start of the second semester of the 2023 academic year, the application deadline has been extended to March 15, 2024 (Friday) to allow teachers to apply smoothly. |
| 4. | Additionally, to help teachers understand the application qualifications and methods for overseas study, the program details, notification of acceptance, and the rights and obligations of accepted teachers, a briefing session will be held via video conference on March 9, 2024 (Saturday) from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM (Meeting link: meet.google.com/kjc-mziz-qby). Schools are requested to grant official leave for attendees and allow them to take compensatory leave for the time spent attending, according to their responsibilities and actual participation. |
