| Instructions: |
| 1. | In accordance with the National Taiwan Normal University's letter dated January 11, 113 (2024), No. 1131000979. |
| 2. | Based on the Executive Yuan's bilingual education policy and the Ministry of Education's "12-Year Basic Education Curriculum Guidelines" (page 22) regarding vocational high schools, "school-based subjects should be appropriately planned for the offering of professional English in various disciplines" to establish characteristic courses or interdisciplinary collaborative teaching needs. |
| 3. | According to the Ministry of Education's letter dated November 9, 105 (2016), No. 1050157461, vocational colleges and universities "should prioritize strengthening students' professional English abilities to help them enhance their employability," and in conjunction with the Ministry of Education's Higher Education Deep Cultivation Project and the reform policy for professional English courses that meet industry demands, to implement the innovative teaching capabilities of faculty in professional English at various institutions. |
| 4. | The purpose of this competition is to strengthen students' and teachers' knowledge of English for General Purposes (EGP) and English for Specific Purposes (ESP) to cultivate outstanding professional talents. It adopts the methods of "promoting learning through competition," "promoting application through competition," and "promoting exchange through competition" to assist schools in developing characteristic school-based professional English courses, and to carry out interdisciplinary collaborative teaching and professional development for teachers in professional English between dual-teachers (English teachers and professional teachers). |
| 5. | The time and method for organizing the aforementioned workshop are as follows: |
| (1) | Time: March 13, 113 (2024) (Wednesday), from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. |
| (2) | Method: Online meeting via Google Meet (teachers from all educational stages can register). |
| 6. | Registration method: Please register directly on the Taoyuan City Teacher Training System before 10:00 AM on March 13, 113 (2024) (Training Number: 4205797) and apply for account experience registration (Registration URL: https://forms.gle/A1ZGDb7KdDjLkkA19). |
| 7. | The bureau agrees to grant leave for participants from public schools (official or personal leave) and arrange for substitute teachers, with substitute teacher fees payable according to regulations, to be covered by the "Personnel Expenses - Employment and Part-time Personnel Salaries - Part-time Personnel Remuneration" item in the "Local Education Development Fund 113 (2024) School Budget" of this bureau. Private schools are requested to grant official (personal) leave to participants according to their responsibilities. |
