Yang Ming Chiao Tung University [Environmental Education] DIYGreen Pot Type Experience Seed Teacher Training In-person and Remote Classes are now open for enrollment. Teachers from all levels of schools (including kindergartens) are welcome to sign up. Please help us promote and inform.

Description:  
I. DIYGreen Zero-Waste Circular Urban Farm is developed by Professor Cheng-Chung Kao's team from our university's Institute of Environmental Engineering to address various environmental issues in Taiwan. It is the world's first DIY zero-waste circular urban farm with recycled bottles as its base. It can create green spaces for growing fruits, vegetables, and flowers in corridors, balconies, rooftops, and flat ground, suitable for DIY by all age groups, from children to the elderly.
II. DIYGreen is applicable to courses or workshops in environmental studies, nature, sustainability, practical application, food and agriculture, ecology, life skills, biology, home economics, inquiry and practical application, earth science, project-based learning, and clubs. It meets the practical needs of many curriculum courses. There are successful teaching cases of DIYGreen application in schools at all levels, and it can be set up in corridors for students to observe nearby.

(1) DIYGreen Zero-Waste Circular Urban Farm - Seed Teacher and General Public Training for Pot Type Experience Kit - Weekend In-Person Class: Date: 2024-04-20, Time: 13:30-16:30, Location: Room 407, Environmental Engineering Building, Hsinchu Chiao Tung University Guangfu Campus.
(2) DIYGreen Zero-Waste Circular Urban Farm - Seed Teacher and General Public Training for Pot Type Experience Kit - Weekend Remote Class (Google Meet): Date: 2024-04-20, Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM, conducted remotely via Google Meet.
IV. , For registration and payment, please visit our university's Extension Education Center website (URL: https://reurl.cc/2z1pr9 ). After completing this training course, teachers can guide students in building DIYGreen farms on campus.
V. This course is eligible for "Environmental Education" teacher in-service training hours (https://www3.inservice.edu.tw). Participation hours will be logged for attending teachers after the course concludes.
