  • Objective: To understand the beauty of traditional screen printing through this course. Screen printing is a printing method with a great tactile feel and warmth, presenting

II. Implementation Method: An external industry expert will be invited on Saturday mornings9-12o'clock to teach screen printing design and teaching to30teachers from various junior high schools in Taoyuan.

  1. Qualitative Goals:Through this course, participants will understand that "screen printing" involves blocking off mesh openings on a screen frame using manual or photosensitive methods to form a stencil. During printing, ink is pressed through the stencil openings by a squeegee, transferring the image to the printing surface.
  2. Quantitative Goals: Single-color screen printing experience during the course. Through repeated or arranged combinations, create bi-directional or four-directional continuous patterns, presenting a completely different sense of repetitive order, and complete each person's unique scarf design..

Photosensitive Plate Making Screen Printing Class

The course will involve individual design and printing. Participants will create black and white artwork either by hand-drawing or using computer graphics, then print it. Each person can complete one design of 13*10cm. Six designs will be exposed together on an approximately A2-sized wooden frame. Each person will then hand-print their design onto a scarf using repeated or arranged combinations.

First session: Introduction to screen printing (5 minutes), plate making introduction (10 minutes), hand-drawing or printing black and white artwork (40 minutes)

Second session: Photosensitive exposure (40 minutes), rinsing and drying (20 minutes)

Third session: Screen printing demonstration (10 minutes), screen printing practice (10 minutes), screen printing hands-on session (30 minutes), drying (10 minutes)
