To inform you about the selection of one Taiwanese Teaching Consultant for the 113th academic year by the English Teaching Resource Center (hereinafter referred to as the English Resource Center) of this city.
Explanation:
1. In accordance with the "Key Points for the Ministry of Education, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's Subsidy for Promoting English Teaching in Elementary and Junior High Schools."
2. The Ministry of Education, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (hereinafter referred to as the "Department") subsidizes this city to establish the English Resource Center and its operational staffing costs in accordance with the aforementioned key points. It is planned to subsidize this city to hire one Taiwanese Teaching Consultant to assist this city in implementing the part-time foreign English Teaching Assistant (hereinafter referred to as the ELTA) program. This consultant will assist with relevant administrative tasks and establish a communication channel between ELTA teaching assistants and schools. The relevant plans are detailed as follows:
(1) Qualifications:
1. Graduation from a university or higher in an English-related department, or possession of a junior high school English specialist teacher certificate, with at least three years of English teaching experience (mandatory).
2. Previous experience assisting in English activities or participating in bilingual programs.
3. Personality traits such as enthusiasm for service, willingness to cooperate in a team, and good communication skills.
4. English proficiency at the B2 level or above, with good English communication and coordination skills.
5. Experience in co-planning, collaborative teaching, or instructional guidance with teaching staff of different nationalities is preferred.
(2) Employment Period: From August 1, 113 to July 31, 114 (the employment period is from the actual start date to July 31, 114).
(3) Service Location: This city's English Resource Center (Wenchang Junior High School).
(4) Duties:
1. Provide ELTA teaching guidance, assist schools in supervising ELTA teaching assistants, and hold monthly PLC meetings with ELTAs.
2. Participate in the ELTA Northern District Liaison and Consultation Meetings and maintain cooperation with the team.
3. Assist in supervising other foreign teachers and foreign teaching assistants introduced through Ministry of Education programs, as well as other ad-hoc tasks.
(5) Other matters shall be handled in accordance with the aforementioned relevant regulations.
3. The Taiwanese Teaching Consultant will primarily be an "incumbent full-time teacher concurrently serving." If the resulting teaching load is covered by a substitute teacher, the maximum subsidy per person per academic year shall be NT$650,000; if covered by a part-time substitute teacher, the maximum shall be NT$500,000 per person per academic year, and the actual number of reduced class hours will be used for calculation. If the subsidy funds are insufficient, the Taoyuan City Government Department of Education will provide additional subsidies separately.
4. Teachers who are enthusiastic and meet the aforementioned qualifications are welcome to apply for the position of Taiwanese Teaching Consultant.
