Taoyuan City 113 Academic Year Student Dance Competition Implementation Guidelines

Subject: Attached is the "Implementation Guidelines for the 113th Academic Year Student Dance Competition in Taoyuan City" for your reference. Please acknowledge receipt.
Details:  
1. In accordance with the Implementation Guidelines for the National Student Dance Competition of the 113th Academic Year.
2. The revised items of the Implementation Guidelines for the 113th Academic Year Student Dance Competition in this city (hereinafter referred to as "these Guidelines") are as follows:
(1) The ballet competition individual category will be implemented starting from the 115th academic year; the group B and C categories will be implemented starting from the 116th academic year, in conjunction with the new regulations for the ballet competition in the Implementation Guidelines for the National Student Dance Competition of the 113th Academic Year.
(2) Article 4, Paragraph 3, Subparagraph (6): Amended to "... (Note: For group and individual categories, scores from the 111th and 112th academic years will be counted; for individual participants with cross-grade levels, scores may also be counted)."
(3) Article 6, Paragraph 3: Amended to "... notify the organizing school in writing 3 days before the competition (by Tuesday, November 12, 113)."
(4) Article 9:
1. Paragraph 1, Subparagraph (2): Amended to "... after obtaining the official seal of the school (students in the university/college group may have their department, graduate institute, college, or office stamp it) to confirm their student status at the school, then register to participate at Taoyuan Municipal Dongxing Junior High School."
2. Paragraph 4, Subparagraph (1): Amended to "For individual categories, participants will have 5 minutes for collective free positioning before each session."; Subparagraph (2) of the same paragraph: Amended to "Rehearsal for group A, B, and C categories of all levels of schools: In the 113th academic year, staggered positioning will be adopted before the competition. Please refer to Attachment 2, 'Taoyuan City 113th Academic Year Student Dance Competition Positioning Instructions,' for related matters."
3. Paragraph 9: Amended to "... When announcing the results, only the grades will be published for the group categories, and rankings will be based on the order of participation (the total average score for each group will be provided in hard copy along with the awards to the winning schools)."
(5) Article 11:
1. Paragraph 1: Amended to "Participating units must arrive at the venue 30 minutes before the start of each competition session and send a representative to check in at the registration desk."
2. Paragraph 2, Subparagraph (1): Amended to "Participating units must submit the registration form (including a list of participants) at the check-in desk on the day of the competition for verification."
3. Paragraph 5: Amended to "During the competition, the organizing unit will provide USB audio equipment for participants. Participating units should bring two USB drives in MP3 format. Each USB drive can only contain one performance track and must be delivered to the大会播音区 (大会播音区 - broadcast area) before check-in..."
4. Paragraph 16: Amended to "... The performances of each participating unit will be recorded free of charge as video and audio files and sent via email to the contact person listed on the registration form within 30 minutes after the competition."
5. Paragraph 20: Amended to "... Award certificates along with the hard copy of the total average score (limited to group categories) will be collected by the winning schools."
(6) Attachment 2:
1. Paragraph 2: Amended to "..., 5 minutes for pre-competition positioning for group B and C (6 minutes for children's dance), and 8 minutes for group A (9 minutes for children's dance). These times will be arranged in advance by the organizing unit, and a reference schedule will be posted on the organizing unit's school website. Please refer to the on-site 'Real-time Competition' for the actual competition progress."
2. Paragraph 3: Amended to "..., background music may be played, and instructors may conduct from the front of the stage (please pay attention to safety). Photography and videography are prohibited in the wings."
3. Paragraph 4: Amended to "..., each team in group A, B, and C (including prop setup personnel) entering the venue (including backstage and prop preparation areas)..."
(7) Attachment 5:
1. Paragraph 13: Amended to "..., the number of personnel for carrying props and backdrops for individual, group B, and group C teams shall be limited to 8 people (10 people for group A); however, for children's dance, the limit is 10 people (12 people for group A); accompanying musicians are included in this count."
2. Paragraph 16: Added "For safety reasons, dancers' costumes are prohibited from using safety pins or body paint; props or backdrops are prohibited from using thumbtacks or nails; when moving props or backdrops on and off stage, wing curtains must not be moved arbitrarily. Those who do not declare props in their registration will not be allowed to enter the stage for assembly in advance."
3. The important matters of the aforementioned competition are summarized as follows:
(1) Competition Venue: Taoyuan Municipal Dongxing Junior High School Activity Center. (Address: No. 25, Guangzhou Road, Zhongli District, Taoyuan City).
(2) Competition Dates: From Friday, November 15, 113, to Sunday, November 17, 113, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The competition schedule will be arranged with Area 1 first, then Area 2.
(3) Registration Period: Monday, October 7, 113, to Monday, October 14, 113.
(4) Registration Method:
1. Online Registration: Please visit the National Student Dance Competition Information Website (https://studentdance.perdc.ntnu.edu.tw/) to register your information. After completing the online registration, print 4 copies of the paper registration form (including the list of participants). Obtain the school's official seal to certify the participants' official student status. Submit 2 copies to the organizing unit of this city, and keep the other 2 copies for yourself (to be brought to the city and final competitions for check-in and verification). Participants who have not registered will not be allowed to compete.
2. Mailing Registration Forms: By Monday, October 14, 113 (postmark date), mail the paper forms via registered mail to Taoyuan Municipal Dongxing Junior High School (Address: Guidance Office, Special Education Group, No. 25, Guangzhou Road, Zhongli District, Taoyuan City, 320048. Phone: 03-4583500 ext. 613, 610). This completes the registration process. Late submissions will not be accepted.
3. When filling out the registration form, please accurately fill in the performance time, music information, and number of props to facilitate the scheduling.
(5) Lottery Drawing and Team Leader Meeting:
1. Date: Wednesday, October 30, 113, at 1:30 PM. Those who are late will have their names drawn by the organizing unit publicly, and no objections will be accepted. After the lottery drawing, no changes to the list will be allowed.
2. Location: Library of Taoyuan Municipal Dongxing Junior High School. No separate notification will be issued.
3. The lottery drawing will be conducted after the team leader meeting. All participating schools must send representatives to attend to avoid forfeiting their rights.
4. The registration process for this competition involves important rights for students and the opportunity to represent the nation. Therefore, please ensure that your school disseminates the competition-related information to students and parents through communication books or notices, and does not rely solely on online announcements or bulletin boards, to protect students' rights.
5. In accordance with Article 12 of these Guidelines, all competitors (students), team staff, and event personnel participating in this competition should be granted official (business) leave by their respective schools or organizations. The bureau will not issue separate leave certificates or attendance certificates.
6. These Guidelines can be downloaded and reviewed on the National Student Dance Competition Information Website (https://studentdance.perdc.ntnu.edu.tw/).
