For your information, regarding the results of the 9th Civil Service Table Tennis Championship of our city and the commendation of outstanding participating teams and personnel.

Explanation:
I. The competition was successfully concluded on September 14, 2024 (Saturday) at the Taoyuan City Sports Center. A total of 96 teams participated, with approximately 1,100 participants. This year's event, as in previous years, was divided into 8 groups: Civil Servant Men's A, B, and C groups, Civil Servant Women's A, B, and C groups, and Teacher/Staff Men's and Women's groups. A copy of the competition results for each group is attached.

II. According to the commendation principles for outstanding participating teams in the 9th Civil Service Table Tennis Championship of our city:
(I) For the 1st place teams in each Civil Servant group, the captain and team members shall each receive a commendation; additionally, 2 individuals from the team's leader, coach, manager, and personnel actively involved in team training and management shall each receive a commendation.
(II) For the 1st place team in the Teacher/Staff group, the captain and team members shall each receive a commendation. For the 2nd and 3rd place teams, the captains and team members shall each receive a certificate of commendation. Additionally, among the team leaders, coaches, managers, and personnel actively involved in team training and management, 2 individuals shall be commended or awarded a certificate of commendation according to the aforementioned ranking rewards.

III. Furthermore, according to Article 4 of the "Taoyuan City Government and its Affiliated Agencies and Schools Civil Servant Disciplinary Cases Handling Guidelines," routine commendation and disciplinary cases are authorized for approval and issuance by subordinate agencies. Specifically, commendation cases of merit or below for second-level agencies may be handled by their supervising first-level agencies. However, commendation cases for personnel of the General Affairs Department, heads of first-level agencies, and district chiefs shall be reported to the City Government for approval. Additionally, according to Article 4 of the "Taoyuan City Public Schools and Kindergartens Teacher and Staff Commendation and Discipline Guidelines," commendation cases of up to two merits for school teachers and staff are authorized for schools to handle themselves. Commendation cases for principals shall be reported to the Department of Education for approval.

IV. Regarding the commendation of outstanding participating team members in this championship, for civil servants of the Taoyuan City Government, please have the responsible authorities handle the commendations according to the aforementioned commendation standards and regulations (recommended). For school teachers and staff, please have the district offices that organized the teams compile a list of personnel to be commended and submit it to their respective service schools or the Department of Education for commendation or issuance of certificates.
