Sending the National Public Information Library's "Animals as Food" lecture and book exhibition information for November.

Description:  
I. In accordance with the National Public Information Library's letter dated September 29, 113 (2024), Ref: Zitouyuezi No. 1130004230.
II. This event is co-organized by the library and the "Taiwan Society of Animal and Human Studies." From August 113 (2024) to June 114 (2025), experts and educators in related fields will be invited to participate, discuss, and brainstorm diverse ideas with readers on the theme of "eating animals." This aims to anticipate and prepare for future life issues that individuals, families, and the public may encounter. The series of lectures will cover topics such as SDGs, food and agriculture, and popular science. Lectures will be held in person and simultaneously live-streamed online, accompanied by online and in-person book exhibitions, with 1-3 books introduced at each session.
III. There are 2 sessions in November, held at the "Hao Young Hall" on the 5th floor of the library's main building (No. 100, Wukuan South Road, South District, Taichung City). Online registration is open now, and admission is free. The lecture times and topics are as follows:
(1) November 3 (Sunday) 10:00-14:00 - Solutions for Meat Consumption through Systemic Circular Thinking (Sustainable Economy), presented by Professor Chiu Yi-Ru from the Graduate Program of Sustainability and Disaster Management, Tzu Chi University, Hualien. 3 hours of in-service training hours for civil servants and teachers will be granted per session.
(2) November 24 (Sunday) 14:00-15:00 - Eating Our Way to a Net-Zero Green Earth! (Sustainable Environment), presented by Chen Yun-Tong, an environmental education lecturer from the Homemakers Union Foundation. 1 hour of in-service training hours for civil servants and teachers will be granted per session.
