Taoyuan City's identification of gifted students in various categories for the 114th academic year of junior high school adopts pre-admission identification.

| I. | In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter No. 1130108771, dated September 24, 113. |
| II. | Based on professional considerations that elementary school teachers' long-term observations are more accurate than short-term observations by junior high school teachers upon admission, and to provide gifted students with comprehensive gifted services throughout their three years of junior high school, the identification of gifted students in junior high schools for the 114 academic year will be conducted prior to admission. The preliminary and final selections will take place from March to May of next year (114). The eligibility for applying for identification is for 6th-grade students in the 113 academic year. The categories of identification include creative ability, academic aptitude in English, and academic aptitude in mathematics and natural sciences. |
