To inform you about the Taoyuan City Government's plan to grant official leave to its employees and teachers who register to participate in the "2025 Taipei World Masters Games."

To inform you about the relevant measures taken by the Taoyuan City Government to encourage its employees and teachers to register for the "2025 Taipei-New Taipei World Masters Games," by granting official leave for its personnel.

Details:
1. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter No. Tai-Jiao-Ti-Zi-1130500604A, dated October 15, 113.

2. The 2025 Taipei-New Taipei World Masters Games (hereinafter referred to as the "WMG") is a large-scale international multi-sport event aimed at promoting lifelong sports and universal sports. It will be held from May 17 to 30, 114, in six locations including Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Yilan County, and Hsinchu County and City. Participants must be 30 years of age or older and can register as individuals without prior selection. For more information, please visit the official event website (https://wmg2025.tw/zh-tw/home).

3. Registration for the WMG opened on February 17, 113, and will close on February 17, 114. To encourage personnel from various units to participate, the Taoyuan City Government, referencing the official leave plan proposed by the Taipei City Government, has developed a plan for granting official leave for participants, as follows:
(1) Taoyuan City Government Employees: In accordance with Article 4, Paragraph 8 of the Regulations Governing Leave for Civil Servants, which states, "Participating in various meetings or activities related to their duties upon invitation by domestic or foreign organizations or groups... with the approval of their superiors," official leave will be granted.
(2) Taoyuan City Government Teachers: Official leave may be granted on the premise of self-managed classes or by arranging make-up classes.
(3) Leave will be granted based on verification of relevant supporting documents for actual participation. No compensatory leave will be granted for participation on non-working days. However, each agency may establish its own review guidelines within its authority.
