World Refugee Day

{{ $t('FEZ002') }} Student Affairs Office|

Subject: We kindly request your school to invite graduating classes to participate in our "World Refugee Day" advocacy campaign. Through a character education lecture, students will learn about global refugees and children's rights. Before graduation, they can complete this meaningful action with their class, experiencing the needs of the world together. Details are as follows. Please acknowledge receipt.
Details:
1. Our organization is an international child care and humanitarian aid agency established in 1964. For many years, we have served impoverished and vulnerable children both domestically and internationally, extending the love of Taiwan to nearly 100 countries worldwide.
2. Every year, June 20th is designated as "World Refugee Day." This day aims to raise awareness of global refugee issues and express sympathy and support for the plight of refugees. In response to this important day, we call upon your school's graduating classes to join us in the lead-up by organizing a "Hunger for Twelve Hours" event. This will allow students to understand the difficulties faced by refugees and their connection to children's rights, fostering empathy and an international perspective. Furthermore, it will encourage students to care and take action.
3. World Vision maintains close cooperation with UNICEF, the World Food Programme (WFP), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). We have established operational bases in recipient countries and domestically to ensure that relief supplies are safely delivered to areas in need. We are dedicated to improving the living conditions of global refugees and vulnerable communities, while also focusing on the protection of children's rights in difficult circumstances. Through this activity, we hope students will gain a deeper understanding of the needs of world refugees and transform this concern into action.
4. We kindly request your school to support our "World Refugee Day" advocacy campaign. Attached are the activity materials (as shown in the attachment) for your reference. For any further inquiries, please contact Ms. Gu Wen-Hsin, Specialist at the Taoyuan Office of our Marketing and Communications Department, at 03-4919095 ext. 221.
