Taiwan Association for the Promotion of Internet Rights X Google 2025 Teacher Training on Children's Online Safety and Prevention of Online Child Sexual Exploitation

Description:  
I. The Taiwan Wings Association and Google are co-hosting the 2025 Teacher Workshop on Online Safety for Children and Adolescents and Prevention of Online Sexual Exploitation of Children. The content covers online safety, digital citizenship, identification and prevention of online sexual exploitation of children, practical digital literacy lesson plan sharing, and application of digital teaching tools. The aim is to assist junior high school teachers in effectively utilizing digital tools and resources to cultivate children's digital literacy and critical thinking skills for online safety.
II. Activity Dates: March 13, 2025 (Thursday) 13:30-15:30, March 20, 2025 (Thursday) 13:30-15:30
III. Workshop Format: Online course, using Slido digital platform (no prior registration required)
IV. Participants: Junior high school teachers nationwide in information, social studies, general studies, or other related fields. Limited to 200 participants per session.

VI. The course link for the online workshop will be sent out by the organizer one day before the course.
VII. This course is currently in the "review stage" for teacher professional development course accreditation by the Social Education Foundation. If approved and registered on the "National Teacher In-service Education Information Network" 2 weeks prior to the course, participants who fully attend the courses on March 13 and March 20 will receive "in-service hours" from the network. Non-school educational personnel will receive "a certificate of participation from our association."
VIII. Please confirm with your school's administrative staff that your teacher information is on file and exists in the database to avoid failed in-service hour registration.
IX. However, according to regulations, in-service hours will not be granted to those who are absent, late, or leave early and do not meet one-third of the course hours (2 hours). Depending on the actual number of participants who sign out, the organizer will decide whether to mail the certificates for March 13, along with those for March 20, within 7 working days after the March 20 course, either by "postal mail" or "email."
X. If the course cannot be registered, participants who fully attend the courses on March 13 and March 20 will instead receive "a certificate of participation from our association" and Google online learning materials. Depending on the actual number of participants who sign out, the organizer will decide whether to mail the certificates for March 13, along with those for March 20, within 7 working days after the March 20 course, either by "postal mail" or "email."
