Announcement Compilation

To inform you about the Civil Service Integrity and Ethics Regulations and the matter of implementing the registration of integrity and ethics incidents.

To inform about the Civil Service Integrity and Ethics Regulations and the implementation of integrity and ethics incident registration.

Explanation:
1. In accordance with the letter from the Ministry of Justice's Agency Against Corruption, dated January 6, 114 (Republic of China calendar), Ref: 11405000030.

2. All faculty and staff of this university are requested to comply with the "Taoyuan City Government Employee Integrity and Ethics Regulations" (hereinafter referred to as "the Regulations"), such as:
(1) Gifts from individuals with whom they have a conflict of interest related to their duties shall be refused or returned, unless falling under the exceptions in Article 4 of the Regulations, and reported to the superior and the anti-corruption unit.
(2) Entertainment and social events with individuals who have a conflict of interest related to their duties shall not be attended, unless falling under the exceptions in Article 7, Paragraph 1 of the Regulations. In exceptional cases, such as official courtesies or public events for traditional festivals, participation is permitted only after reporting to the superior and notifying the anti-corruption unit in accordance with Article 10.
(3) Matters involving requests or recommendations shall be handled in accordance with Article 11 of the Regulations, by reporting to the superior and notifying the anti-corruption unit, in order to maintain public trust in the impartial execution of duties by civil servants.

3. To deepen the understanding of integrity and ethics regulations, colleagues are encouraged to utilize the teaching resources available on the Executive Yuan's Directorate-General of Personnel Administration's "e-Learning for Civil Servants+" platform (https://elearn.hrd.gov.tw/mooc/index.php) and other similar platforms to learn relevant courses on integrity and ethics.

4. Attached are one copy each of the "Taoyuan City Government Employee Integrity and Ethics Regulations" and the "Integrity and Ethics Incident Registration Form" (as attachments).
