| I. | In accordance with the Ministry of Education, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's letter dated June 5, 114 (2025), Ref. No. 1140052270. |
| II. | According to Article 15, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 3, and Paragraph 2 of the Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act, no person shall import e-cigarettes or designated tobacco products (heated tobacco) and their necessary combination components that have not been approved by the health risk assessment. Currently, there are no designated tobacco products and their necessary combination components approved by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Operators who illegally import such products may face fines of up to NT$50 million, while travelers carrying heated tobacco into the country may be fined NT$50,000 to NT$5 million. |
| III. | To strengthen outreach to non-Taiwanese inbound travelers, the Ministry of Health and Welfare has produced promotional flyers in English, Japanese, and Korean (as attached) regarding the prohibition of e-cigarettes or heated tobacco. Please disseminate this information to faculty, staff, and students, and assist in displaying it on TV walls and bulletin boards. |
