Subject: We are forwarding the information about the "In My Homeland" International Painting Competition and cordially invite your students to participate actively. Please submit your entries before this year's National Day to depict your homeland and let the world see the beauty of Taiwan, creating a most meaningful summer creation. Please be advised.
Details:
1. Children and youth from over thirty countries worldwide have already conveyed their imagery of their homelands through tens of thousands of paintings. Now, the beauty of Taiwan has the opportunity to shine on the international stage and compete with the world.
2. After years of effort, the International Green Cross Belarus, located in a major European art center, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Environmental Quality Protection Foundation and International Green Cross Taiwan, officially inviting Taiwanese children and youth to showcase their creativity with "Homeland Environment" as the theme.
3. Now, with a brush, children's and youth's creations and Taiwanese imagery will travel to Central Europe to join the international environmental art exchange and competition stage. Every registrant will receive a certificate of participation and compete for awards, making it an excellent opportunity during the summer break to enhance their learning portfolio.
4. The Environmental Quality Protection Foundation was established in 1984 and is an observer to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). It focuses on environmental education, climate change, environmental law, and international participation, and values the opinions of children and youth. Therefore, this event is launched on World Environment Day to encourage children and youth to demonstrate their concern for their homeland through action.
5. We sincerely invite all young students aged 6 to 18 to paint "My Homeland" on A3 or B4 drawing paper. The style and medium of creation are not limited. Please mail your submissions by October 10, 2025 (postmark date applies) to our Taipei office (6F-1, No. 88, Section 2, Xinyi Road, Da'an District, Taipei City 10641).
6. There is no limit to the number of winning entries; all that are recognized by the international jury will be included. Based on past experience, the number of winning entries accounts for approximately 10% to 25% of the total submissions. Submitted works will be organized and sent to Belarus by our foundation for evaluation. The list of winners is expected to be announced in April next year (2026), and exhibitions or publications will be planned for outstanding works. Each work will also have the supervising teacher's name included to share the honor.
7. This event is not only an art competition but also an environmental education action that combines observation, thinking, and expression. Through creation, children and youth will re-examine the land and environment they live in daily, deepen their emotional connection to their hometown and nature, and shape Taiwan's environmental memory.
