| 1. | Our organization is an international child welfare and humanitarian aid agency. Since its establishment in 1964, we have been serving impoverished and vulnerable children both domestically and internationally for many years, continuously promoting humanitarian education and global care initiatives, extending Taiwan's love to nearly a hundred countries and regions worldwide. |
| 2. | The United Nations designated June 20th as "World Refugee Day" in 2001 to enhance the international community's understanding and attention to the humanitarian situation of global refugees. According to UNHCR statistics in 2024, over 120 million people worldwide have been forced to flee their homes due to war, persecution, or disaster, reaching a historic high. More than half of them are children, many of whom live in resource-scarce temporary camps for extended periods, facing situations like hunger and lack of education, urgently needing the support of the global community. Our organization has long cooperated with international organizations such as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the World Food Programme (WFP), and the World Health Organization (WHO). We actively promote children's rights, humanitarian education, and global care initiatives in Taiwan, hoping to improve the basic survival and educational conditions of global refugees and vulnerable children through collaboration. |
| 3. | We sincerely invite all teachers and students of your school to participate in "World Refugee Day." In response to this international advocacy campaign, through a life and character education lecture and the "Hunger 12" experiential activity, a 12-hour fasting action will allow teachers and students to experience the hunger faced by vulnerable children worldwide, fostering empathy and transforming it into practical care actions. |
| 4. | This activity is filed with the Ministry of Health and Welfare under reference No. [Wei Bu Jiu Zi No. 1131363224]. We sincerely invite your school to respond and assist in disseminating this advocacy campaign. A copy of the activity materials is attached for your reference.
