Announcement Compilation

To strengthen the prevention and control of sexually transmitted infections such as syphilis and gonorrhea in the country, the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control (CDC) of the Ministry of Health and Welfare has been providing "Anonymous Consultation and Syphilis Screening Services for Sexually Transmitted Infections" since July 1st of this year. We kindly request your school to widely promote and utilize this service.

Description:  
I. In accordance with the letter from the Taoyuan City Government Health Bureau, No. 1140058327, dated July 2, 114.
II. Syphilis, congenital syphilis, and gonorrhea are classified as Category 3 infectious diseases by the "Communicable Disease Control Act." To enhance the knowledge of the general public and at-risk populations regarding the prevention and control of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), please integrate and utilize existing resources within your school to strengthen STI health education and promotion through diverse channels.
III. The aforementioned special section is divided into content for the general public, educators, medical and public health personnel, multilingual health education materials, and other related resources. The content includes information on contraception, safe sex, awareness, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, screening, destigmatization, and friendly medical consultation for various STIs. Please download and utilize these resources directly from the CDC's official website under "Homepage/Infectious Diseases and Epidemic Prevention Topics/Infectious Disease Introduction/Category 3 Notifiable Infectious Diseases/Syphilis or Gonorrhea/STI Health Education Resources."
IV. Starting from July 1st of this year, the CDC has commissioned 13 hospitals nationwide to provide "Anonymous Consultation Services for Sexually Transmitted Infections" (as attached). Individuals can consult through various channels such as phone, email, and Line@. To encourage young people to get screened proactively, a "Rapid Screening Service for Syphilis for Youth Aged 24 (inclusive) and Under or Students" is also available. Eligible individuals can receive free rapid syphilis screening with relevant supporting documents.
