| II. | The "Asia for Animals Conference" (hereinafter referred to as the Conference) is one of the most important international animal protection forums in Asia. It is hosted by different countries every two years. After more than 20 years and 13 sessions, the 14th Conference will be held in Taiwan for the first time. The Ministry of Agriculture is a co-organizer. Event information is as follows: |
| (1) | Official Symposium: August 26 to 28, 114 (2025) (Tuesday to Thursday, single-day tickets are available). |
| (2) | Venue: Grand Hyatt Taipei, Dazhi. |
| (3) | Conference Topics: Animal protection, stray animal management, welfare of farmed animals, wildlife conservation, aquatic animal welfare, animal performance, and other multifaceted topics. | III. | This is a major international animal protection conference hosted by Taiwan, providing a valuable opportunity to exchange and learn with the international animal protection community. Please encourage faculty, staff, and students of your institution to register and participate. Additionally, the conference has applied for the following hours of certification: |
| (1) | Lifelong Learning Hours for Civil Servants: 17 hours for 3 days. |
| (2) | Environmental Education Hours: 14.5 hours for 3 days. |
| (3) | Teacher Professional Development Hours: 16 hours for 3 days. |
| IV. | Furthermore, to encourage more teachers to participate in the conference and pay attention to animal protection issues, teachers in primary and secondary schools can apply for up to 3 days of free admission tickets.
