Subject:To support students' international learning needs, our school is organizing the "Bilingual and International Education Seminar -- Cultivating Innovative Global Talents" seminar. We have specially invited experts from College Board in the United States to give lectures. All educators, principals, directors, teachers, staff from all levels of schools, and colleagues interested in international education or gifted education are sincerely welcome to participate.
Details:
1. Program Objectives: Based on the needs of practical school settings, this workshop invites Senior Director Carol Choong from the International Department of the College Board in the United States to visit our school for a special introduction and forum exchange on AP (Advanced Placement) courses. By discussing the promotion experience of Taipei City Government's Department of Education in establishing AP courses in five public high schools, we will share how to plan and introduce advanced American academic AP courses, providing opportunities for challenging and in-depth learning, and laying the foundation for students' future professional studies. We hope to assist teachers in applying international experience to daily teaching through this professional exchange, expanding students' opportunities for deeper and broader learning, cultivating research skills and critical thinking, and ultimately achieving the vision of mutual benefit for teachers and students. The International Advanced Placement (AP) Program is a university-level advanced placement course and curriculum-aligned assessment system planned and promoted by the College Board in the United States, allowing high school students to have the opportunity to take university-level courses while in school and participate in globally standardized tests. Excellent AP course results are recognized for college credit and accelerated graduation by over 3,000 universities in more than 70 countries, including the United States, Canada, and Europe, and it is an academically recognized language for higher education worldwide. It is a curriculum system actively offered by high-quality high schools globally. AP courses are offered in over 130 countries worldwide, and public, private, and international schools can choose to establish them based on student needs.
